Meet Kirsty

Hi, I'm Kirsty, Founder of Mindful Wellness Warrior. I'm dedicated to helping individuals overcome trauma and enhance their overall well-being by providing personalised holistic approaches to healing.

Focussed on the connection between emotions, thoughts, and the body, I'll guide you in uncovering new insights and pathways to improve your mental health.

As someone who has personally navigated c-PTSD, I understand the transformative power of holistic bodywork alongside talking therapy, to achieve a mind body connection to recovery. I also value mindful walks and snuggles with my dog Tinkerbell.

 

My practice includes TRE® (Tension, Trauma Release Exercises), a somatic technique that helps people dealing with stress, anxiety, and trauma without requiring them to discuss painful experiences directly if they don’t want to.

Sometimes the things we experience in life that don’t feel very nice get stuck in our body. If it was possible to think our way out of things then we wouldn’t feel so stuck sometimes. 

Through empathy, expertise, and personal experience, I'm committed to helping you find your inner warrior and make positive changes for a better quality of life.

I decided to try TRE to help with an old shoulder injury. It is a natural treatment which I found very safe and calming and I experienced the tremors in each visit. As well as my shoulder feeling much easier I also had a brilliant nights sleep after each session. Through Kirsty’s excellent and supportive teaching I am able to practice on my own at home .

At the start of the TRE session, I had no idea what to expect. Any apprehension was quickly dispelled with Kirsty's professional , calm and clear explanation which she continued to provide with a 'step by step' approach throughout. Kirsty created a safe environment where I felt totally at ease and able to fully focus and gain an awareness of how my body was feeling. The way in which Kirsty delivered guidance ensured it was personalised, supportive and proved beneficial to everyone in the group. Throughout the session and afterwards, Kirsty encouraged feedback on how I was feeling, offered advice and reassurance.
Participating in this session highlighted and released my areas of tension, truly amazing!
It left me feeling full of energy followed by a sense of calm resulting in eleven hours of sleep. I would highly recommend this TRE experience with Kirsty. Thank you.

I have known Kirsty for over 20 years and have attended many of her exercise classes - dance, pilates, general exercise. She is an excellent Instructor who puts a lot of effort and thought into her teaching.  She motivates all her pupils and creates a great atmosphere in a class.

 

When Kirsty told me she was going to train to be a TRE Provider, I was very interested to learn more about it. Kirsty gave me one to one teaching at first, but then it developed into a small group.  She made it so interesting and explained the whole process thoroughly.  I soon became hooked and not only enjoyed the classes but really felt that my fitness has improved.  I would recommend it to anyone.
